A candle lighting rally was organized at Kokrajhar in protest against recent attack and killing of Amarnath pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir by Pakistani militants that claimed that seven peoples and left many injuries.
The candle rally was organized by the All BTC Minority Students Union(ABMSU) to put protest against inhuman act penetrated by Pakistani militants on Wednesday evening. Hundreds of ABMSU activists and publics joined hands in the rally and lighted candles along the fly-over in Kokrajhar town.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
