Poor student battling for life

A class nine student of Dotma Girls High School hailed from Danggarkuti Brahmapur village is lying her home bed without any better traetment,who has been suffering from unidentified disesaes since few four-five months due to poverty in Kokrajhar district. Dr B Barman of Dotma PHC told that she is suffering kidney related diseases and referred to GMC Hospital for better treatment.

 The student was identified as Sahima Basumatary,daughter of Alicharan Basumatary and Rahela Basumatary,who is belonging to hand to mouth has been suffering from unidentified diseases since nine-ten months.She had been admiited to Dotma PHC hospital and later referred to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital,but her diseases could not be identified and till now back her home since few months.  She is now at her own home without treatment and some time rushed to the Dotma PHC for treatment which is not suffiecient treatment.  Rahela Basumatary, mother of Sahima told that her daughter has been suffering from serious diseases as she could not take proper meal and needed foods. Her family is not in a position to provide proper medical traetment due to poverty.

‘We could not proceed her for better hospital due to poverty as her family collects fire wood from nearby jungle to sale in the market,which is the only living ray of life’,she said with teraful. She has appealed to all sections of society for making financial supports so that they could provide better treatment for Sahima.

‘I am suffering rom serious diseases since few months as I could not go to school quite some months due to ailing’,said ailing Sahima Basumatary.

A villager said that we are seeing that a young girl is suffering from serious condition since few months,but family is very poor .Villagers wished a healthy recovery of ailing student Sahima Basumatary.

Dr Barman,doctor of Dotma PHC said that she has needed super speciality care in a good hospital.He is looking after her when she rush to hospital for treatment,but this is not sufficient treatment.She must be immediately admitted to better hospital as she has been suffering from kdney related diseases in her life.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. A five-day mountaineering training program, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare department of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government, begins on Thursday at the Dangdupur Hills Site in Kokrajhar.
