An Assam police team has landed in Guwahati with Soobidh Biswas whom they arrested early in the morning on Wednesday 16 days after he allegedly incited violence in Silapothar.
Immediately after it, Biswas and his associate were taken to an undisclosed location to be grilled on the allegations of inciting violence in Silapothar on March 6.
By Friday, Biswas and his associates are likely to be taken to Dhemaji where he would be produced before the CJM court seeking further remand.
Dhemaji police have registered case against Biswas under Sect 147/148/149/448/325/427/153(A), IPC charging him with spreading communal hatred apart from damaging public property.
Before that a local court in West Bengal allowed Assam police to take Sobodh Biswas on transit remand hours after the main accused in the Silapothar violence was caught at a house in North 24 Parganas.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate in Bongaon asked police to produce Subodh Biswas and his associate Subhas Biswas to produce before the Dhemaji district court by March 28. The police team probing the case would have to submit the compliance report by April 14.
Then the Assam police team departed the court and left for Guwahati to be kept in tight security at an undisclosed locations in view of the growing demand for his exemplary punishment.
