As many as five army jawans are believed to have sustained injury when suspected ULFA-I and NSCN-K jointly attacked a vehicle in Atunachal Pradesh on Wednesday.
The attack took place in midnight at Longding area along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
According to information, the rebels hiding atop a hillock started indiscriminate firing as soon as the army vehicle was crossing the spot. Army jawans also retaliated with firing.
Notably, a group of dreaded rebels are believed to have been hiding in the huge area targetting security forces since November.
