It is a shocking incident on Monday night in Kokrajhar two sons-in-law murdered their own mother-in-law that created sensation among society in the region. Police arrested the duo on Tuesday morning.
The shocking incident took place at Magurmari village (7-line quarters) near Kokrajhar Tea Estate under Kokrajhar PS on Monday night around 7 pm that two sons in law of Takurmoni Munda(65) held a family quarrel in the house of Takurmoni where aged mother in law was hit that force to fall down to ground on their own house and succumbed to hospital.
The woman was identified as Takurmoni Munda, a retired TE wage labor in Kokrajhar Tea Estate. Police arrested two sons in law of the Takurmoni today morning. An FIR has been lodged with police in this regard.
They were identified as Birsa Munda and Raju Munda,both are sons in law of the Takurmoni.
Birsa, revealed the incident said that he normally hit his mother in law where fell down to ground and later died.
‘Investigation is on into incident. Sons in law of the Takurmoni are arrested so far’,said a senior police officer in Kokrajhar.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
