Stress on citizen centric mechanism

Guwahati is opening a two days conference on Thursday where the citizen centric delivery system in the north eastern region gets top priority.

Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal opened the summit attended by the eight states of north eastern states apart from West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand.
Talking to Assam Times, officials here said in Guwahati that the huge summit will aim at creating a common platform to share experiences in the formulation and implementation of citizen-centric governance.

“ It also would help us improve public service delivery through e-Governance, transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly effective administration,” said the organizers.
The dominating agenda would be the Path Breaking and High Impact Initiatives in Citizen-Centric Services Delivery System.

Five sessions are on the agenda on Thursday. The first session will deal with transformational e-initiatives in aealth and education sectors. It comprise presentation on e-Education and e-Health from governments of Odisha and Tripura respectively.

Second session is on e-office implementation which aims at supporting governance by achieving a simplified, responsive, effective and transparent working in Government offices and web based grievance portal. It would be followed by a panel discussion on vision on digital transformation.
