BPF welcomes new members

Over 100 members from different party and organizations joined in BPF party at a party meeting held at Karida Sandla LP school ground under Kokrajhar west LAC in Kokrajhar district. 

Active worker and party workers from various parties, included UPP, ABSU from Jogdwi primary committee joined the ruling BPF party in the presence of Rabiram Narzary, MLA, Kokrajhar west LAC. 

Narzary and party leaders welcome and felicitated newly joined members with traditional Aronai and Phulam Gamocha. 

'BPF party was working for the all round development for citizens in the region. People's welfare was prime job of party to meet healthy development and integration among all sections of communities', Narzary said.

He has appealed citizens to cooperate to make BTAD region healthy and developed society in the region, he added.

Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. ABSU Expresses Concern Over Question Paper Leak During HSLC Final Exams

The ongoing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) final examinations in the state of Assam have been marred by a serious concern over the leakage of question papers. The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has expressed its strong resentment over the issue, especially in light of the English subject question paper that was leaked on March 6th. Mountaineering Training Kicks Off in Kokrajhar

A five-day mountaineering training program, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare department of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government, begins on Thursday at the Dangdupur Hills Site in Kokrajhar. BTR Peace Accord Day celebrated

On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace." 3 arrested under arms act

Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition. The recovered items included an AK rifle, an M-16 rifle, and 135 rounds of live ammunition. ISPL 2022: Bodoland lifts trophy

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district. Sonam Basumatary of Bodoland Territorial Region scored the lone goal against Lai Autonomous in 51 minutes of the second half. This led his team to win the tournament 1-0.
