Daoharu Mungkhlong trophy from Oct 12
A massive preparation has got underway to host 19th Daoharu Mungkhlong Trophy, Dotma at DASA ground beginning from October 12 next in Kokrajhar district.
An Organizing Committee was formed with Sangkhar Brahma,chairman TCLCC, Dotma as president, Prandhon Brahma as secretary and Majen Brahma as treasurer to conduct the trophy in smooth manner.
Football teams from various states of the country, which included Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal and football clubs from Assam state-ASEB, Guwahati, Green Valley,Gossaigaon,Kokrajhar are participating the football trophy.
Championship of the trophy would be awarded trophy and cash 50,000 and runners up would be awarded trophy along with cash 25, 000, stated a release.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar.
