2 NDFB-S ultras held

Kokrajhar police arrested two hardcore cadres of the NDFB-S from Serfanguri area of Kokrajhar district.  
Talking to Reporters at Kokrajhar SP office today, ADGP LR Bishnoi said based that on secret information an operation was lunched by Kokrajhar police and arrested two NDFB-S cadres.
One cadre Phanjit Basumatary alias Phungja was apprehended from Kasihiguri under Serfanguri police station. One grenade and demand notes were recovered from his possession. He is stated to be from the 38 batch of the outfit and trained in Myanmar.
In separate operation another cadre of the outfit identified as B Luthai alias Lokra alias Dimasa alias Lohit Basumatary was apprehended from Kalaigaon under Serfanguri police station. Luthai is a listed cadre of the banned NDFB-S organization. He is from the 42nd batch of the outfit and had recently returned in Kofrajhar district after training in Myanmar.
Bishoi said received training at Taga camp, Myanmar from 14 December 2014 to 17 February 2015 and entered Assam on 9 July last with a view to carry out extortion, subversive activities, attack on security personnel on behalf of the banned NDFB-S. One 9mm pistol along with a magazine and 4 live ammunitions of 9 mm pistol was recovered from him.
Bishnoi said 5 cadres of the rebel group have recently entered Assam after receieving training in Myanmar. He mentioned that 100 cadres were trained in 42 batch.
He said search operation is still on to apprehend the other cadre as well as over-ground workers/linkmen of various militants groups like NDFB-S, NSLA, KLO, ULFA etc. 
He said the militant group is using the linkmen from various communities including Bodo and Adivasi to carrying out their activities.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district.
