MP promises 50 lakhs aid

Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary has promised of 50 lakhs to the Bodoland University to meet infrastructural development in the university.

Daimary while attending the 20th Foundation Day celebration of Bodoland University announced his promise to extend Rs.50 lakhs from MPLAD fund for healthy development aspects.He said that anounce fund would be released soon after receiving feasibility proposal from university.He said that BTAD administration was stressing to gain developmental aspect and educational environmental in the region.

Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace." Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition. The recovered items included an AK rifle, an M-16 rifle, and 135 rounds of live ammunition.
