All Assam old and new footballers' meet at Nagaon
Nagaon District Football players Association organised 2-day-long event “Asomor Na-Purani Football Kheluwair Priti Samaroh" at Nurul Amin Stadium on 12 & 13 July 2008. On the first day, the flag was hoisted by the President of All Assam Football Association. The secreatry of Nagaon Sports Association, Pradeep Hazarika offered Shardhanjali. Other players also offered Shardhanjali in memory of the players who passed away. On that day a friendly football match between the veteran players of Nagaon District was held.
On the second day, a seminar was held among the veteran players and sports lovers to discuss on various issues related to the game. At the evening again a football match between the veteran players of Assam Police and Oil India was held in which Oil India won.
A souvenir was released at the function.

The Keshai Khaity puja was held by the Lalung community of Nagaon district April 26. It is believed that a Keshai Khaity temple was established by the forefathers of the tribe in the year 1266 A.D.From then onwards worship is being carried out by every generation yearly in the month of April.
