Big SC breather for Nabam Tuki

In a huge relief for Nabam Tuki, the Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed the Gauhati High Court’s judgment ordering CBI probe into the allegations against Arunachal Pradesh chief minister.

Taking up the plea, a bench of Supreme Court has stayed the high court’s order for CBI probe into the role of the then PWD minister in 2011.

The huge scam in allocation of contracts took place when Tuki was holding the PWD portfolio forcing the Gauhati High Court on August 21 to order CBI probe.
