A Silchar bound passenger sustained serious injury when the TATA Sumo carrying him to Silchar rammed into a wall in Shillong on Wednesday.
The accident took place at the Shillong by-pass at Umdoh Byrthih near Umsning in Ri Bhoi district at around10:25 in the morning when the vehicle bearing No AS24C – 5096 was on its way to Silchar from Guwahati.
Identified as Amanuddin Choudhary, the 43year old passenger is battling for life at the Shillong Civil Hospital.
