In yet another exemplary action to trim witch hunting, a local court in Udalguri sentenced life term jail for 15 accused a years after they brutally killed a tea garden worker branding her as witch.
According to allegation, these 15 people killed Gigra Oraon of Butiachang after dragging him out of the house on March 19 last year.
The district session judge cleared the judgment on Saturday in their presence giving millions of people a ray of hope in the fight against witch hunting.
