Chief minister Tarun Gogoi said on Wednesday that the government will firmly deal with jihadi activists a day after Director General of police Khagen Sarma claimed to have found evidence of a section of youths undergoing arms training in Bangladesh.
Addressing a press conference in Dispur, Gogoi called it a matter of national interest. He said that any individual involved in such activities would not be spared. But in the same breath he said that there would be no politics behind it and that no innocent people will be arrested in the name of religion.
