A local court in Kolkata on Wednesday remanded Sadananda Gogoi to CBI custody till Sep 20 five days after the country’s top investigating agency arrested the popular singer in connection with the Saradha scam.
CBI produced Gogoi in Alipur Court in the afternoon urging extension of the custody for three more days to which the court agreed.
CBI arrested Gogoi on September 12 after several hours of questioning on the scam and his role. Then the court remanded him to their custody for five days.
Gogoi was arrested Sep 12 by the Central Bureau of Investigation for alleged conspiracy and misappropriation of funds.
