As many as 85 people hailing from Assam had a narrow escape when they were rescued from the devastating flood waves in Jammu and Kashmir.
These include the families of teachers at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in Srinagar. According to information, over 200 people from are still trapped in the flood.
These people are basically teachers, CRPF personnel, CISF jawans and civilians. More information is expected to pour in during the next 24 hours after the restoration of the communication network. The rescued people are expected to reach Guwahati by Friday.
