JINTUL TALUKDAR, BAKSA: Baska police have picked up one more person on Tuesday in connection with the recent incident where suspected NDFB-S militants four local lemon traders.
According to information, the person who was arrested on Tuesday morning is believed to have helped the Bodo militants kidnapped the local traders to be killed. Police on Monday arrested three linkmen for helping militants.
On the other hand, the authorities have lifted the curfew during the day time from Tuesday. But curfew from 8 PM to 8 AM will continue in Gobardhana and Anand Bazar police stations in Baksa as well as the northern side of railway line in Barpeta district.
Security forces are continuing operations to arrest the culprits of the kidnap and murder.
Seven lemon traders, came to Labdanguri market in Baksa district from the adjacent Barpeta district, but four persons did not return home.
Bodies of Ataur Ali, Rubul Amin, Saddam Ali and Abu Bakkar -- were later fished out from Hakuwa river.
