9 more killed in BTAD bloodbath

There seems to be no respite from the bloodbath in the BTAD areas. The toll has gone up to 33 with the recovery of 9 more bodies in Baska on Saturday.

Local residents and security forces on Saturday morning recovered nine bodies from the bank of the river Beki hours after the miscreants set on fire over 50 houses in Nonke Khagrabari area near Salbari.

The bodies were identified as Ibrahim Ali, Majira Khatun, Ariful Islam, Joygan Khatun, Babul Ali, Latifan Dewa, Aariful Islam, Illima Khatun.

Apart from clamping curfew, the Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa authorities have issued sight at shoot order to deal with the situation.

Forest minister Rockybul Hussain, parliamentary secretary Etwa Munda, Siddique Ahmed have been camping in the trouble torn area to monitor the situation.
