Brisk polling with 45% turn out

Jorhart tops with 55 per cent voter turn out till 1 in the afternoon in the first phase of Lok Sabha pollings on Monday.

Voters----both men and women are lined up in front of the polling booths to exercise their franchise.

Dibrugarh has registered 48 per cent turn out till 1 in the afternoon while the figure stands at 43 per cent in Koliabor..  

Lakhimpur records 41 per cent while 37 per cent voters have exercised their franchise in Tezpur till 1 in the afternoon.

 Barring some technical glitches, pollings are by and large peaceful.
